Most any paper and basic cutting materials, such as scissors and craft knife, may be used to make paper cutting art!
For my starter workshop, origami paper and scissors should be enough. If you don’t have origami paper, use any thin flexible paper, for example, photocopy or printing paper.

All you need is some paper and scissors to get started! I prefer solid color origami paper because it is thin and already cut into squares.

I use special silhouette paper produced by the Folia company in Germany [link]. Unfortunately the paper is out of stock in US. I usually get the non-gummed version here.
